Albert Gore, Sr. WSM Radio Broadcasts
Early in his political career, Albert Gore, Sr. had a weekly broadcast on WSM, an AM radio station in Nashville. In these broadcasts, he covered a wide variety of important subjects such as World War II, the GI Bill, the President’s National Health Insurance Plan, the atomic bomb, the Tennessee Valley Authority, foreign policy, economic issues, military aid to post-war Europe, the organization of NATO, and the Korean War. We have digitized the following transcripts of these broadcasts in order to make them readily accessible to researchers. This is an ongoing project, and we will add more transcripts as they are scanned.
