Reference/Book Collection

The Gore Center houses a non-circulating reference book collection in our research room that covers topics related to our manuscript and university collections, such as Middle Tennessee State University history, Tennessee political and cultural history, county histories, and veterans and modern military history. The reference section also contains instructional books for archival science and management that would be useful for students in the Public History program. This collection can be searched using the online catalog of James E. Walker Library. To search only Gore Center materials, use the Advanced Key Search and select Gore Research Center under the “Collection” column.
